Our story began in 1953 along the back lanes of Penang's historic village, Bukit Mertajam. Back then till now, Nam Seng Food Industries Sdn. Bhd. strives to achieve our best as an international wholesaler and distributor of more than 30 food products from all around the world. Alongside with our HALAL, HACCP, MeSTI and ISO 22000 certifications, we are committed to the highest standards of quality and hygiene, embracing our heritage while innovating to create new experiences to savour, both domestically and internationally.
Business bring innovation to market, and we bring innovations to our customer. It was then when the alleys were overwhelmed with the irresistible aroma of our traditional curry noodles. Spending months of tasting and improvement, our founders overcame struggles in formulating and maintaining the flavour of freshly-cooked curry broth into pastes. Our signature Penang Ah Lai White Curry Noodles was first introduced to the market in 2014, which is easily available to our fellow patrons in supermarkets and marts throughout Malaysia, followed by our all-time favourite bihun (rice vermicelli) and kway teow (flat rice noodles). Now, we are introducing our new products, Penang Ah Lai Prawn Noodles, which is available in rice vermicelli, mee and rice noodles versions. The name of “Penang Ah Lai” was inspired by the name of one of our co-founders, starting with 'Ah', like how we Malaysians are commonly called in the olden days.
Quality products with authentic Penang flavour and thick aromatic broth boosts our products to more patrons, which is always our drive, support, and motivation. With a healthy appetite for growth, we continue to invest in new capabilities and capacity to bring innovation new products to market for our customers and consumers, while being confident that you will enjoy our food products as much as we enjoy bringing them to you. Over the decade, honest food reviews, product sponsorships and participation in national and international Food & Beverage Expos have further expanded our product to several region and hence easily available in foreign region including Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Macau, Japan, New Zealand, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and New York.
